All works listed above will include inspection and testing of completed works before commissioning and issuing of either Minor Works Certificate or Electrical Installation Certificate, Schedule of Inspections and Schedule of Test Results. Inspection will include thorough check of the condition of all elements of the circuits including protective devices and accessories.

Electrical Periodic Inspection & Testing
Undertaking inspection and testing of all electrical circuits to ensure system conforms to the requirements of the IEE regulations

It is recommended that this is carried out once every 5 to 10 years or on change of occupancy of a property.

The electrical inspection and testing is also a useful guide to determine whether a system is faulty and whether or not a re-wire is required. Often full re-wires are not necessary and a faulty circuit can be rectified or parts of it replaced.

Portable Appliance (PAT) Testing
Undertaking the inspection and testing of portable electrical equipment to ensure that the equipment is safe to use. Pat testing or portable appliance testing is an important part of any health & safety policy. The Electricity at Work Regulations place a legal responsibility on employers, employees and self-employed persons to comply with the provisions of the regulations and take reasonably practicable steps to ensure that no danger results from the use of such equipment.
